Google is set to unveil the Pixel 9 family this coming fall. It’s claimed that the new generation foldable model will also be part of this series. According to this claim, instead of the Pixel Fold 2 model, Google will directly offer a foldable device called the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This implies that there will be a version with a foldable screen in the Pixel 9 family.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold coming this fall?
Introduced last year, the Pixel Fold brought Google’s pure Android experience to the world of foldable phones. It’s thought that the Pixel Fold 2 will follow as a continuation of this model. However, it has emerged that Google is working on a foldable version of the Pixel 9 Pro.
This suggests that the foldable phone will share similar features with the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro models, which will be released towards the end of the year. So, we can say that the foldable model will also use the Tensor G4, which will power the Pixel 9 series.
The Geekbench score of the processor is 1,082 for single-core and 3,121 for multi-core. Additionally, according to the source, the production of the device’s screen will start in April and it will be released in September/October.
Being presented as “Pro” indicates that the Pixel 9 series will come with top-of-the-line features. The 10x zoom imaging chip found in the Pixel 8 Pro could highlight the camera features of the foldable device. It is also expected that Google will incorporate artificial intelligence features.
If released alongside other Pixel 9 models in the fall, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will officially join the flagship family.
