Samsung has been internally testing the beta version of One UI 8 for some time now. The company started the process with the Galaxy S25 series, allowing users in Germany, South Korea, the United Kingdom, and the United States to test the new version. However, recent developments reveal that One UI 8 will be the last major update for some Samsung tablets and smartphones.
These Samsung models will not receive major updates after One UI 8
A list of Samsung devices that will receive One UI 8 as their final major update has been revealed. Based on Android 16, this new version marks the last stage of software support for the smartphones and tablets on the list. This means these devices will continue to run on Android 16 moving forward without further major upgrades.
Although One UI 8 will be the final major update for these devices, users are expected to continue receiving minor interim updates such as One UI 8.1 or 8.1.1, as well as regular security patches for some time.
