The electric car market continues to grow day by day. Revealing its sales figures today, Ford seems to be happy with its situation. So what are the numbers? Here is the latest situation in Ford’s electric car wing.
Ford achieved an increase of 71.8 percent compared to last year!
Electric cars entered our lives faster than we thought. Although the companies still do not achieve sales figures like gasoline or diesel vehicles, Ford’s face seems to be smiling for now. The company, which announced the sales figures of its electric cars today, sold 44 thousand 180 vehicles in the first half of this year. This figure is 71.8 percent higher than the same period last year.
The difference between the first and second quarters of this year is 61.4 percent. Ford managed to sell 23 thousand 957 vehicles in the second quarter, that is, three months. When we look in detail, it recorded an increase of 46.5 percent for Mustang Mach-E, 76.9 percent for F150 Lightning and 95.5 percent for E-Transit. On the hybrid side, there is an increase of 55.6 percent. The total hybrid sales figure is stated as 53 thousand 822.
When we look at all Ford models, we see that a total of 308 thousand 920 Ford Trucks were sold in the second quarter of this year. While this is followed by the F-Series with 199 thousand units, we see that in the rest of the list, 189 thousand SUVs and 42 thousand 274 Transit units were sold.
Although there is an increase in the electric car market, companies still cannot sell as many vehicles as they expected. The biggest reason for this situation is the question marks about electric cars. How do you evaluate Ford’s sales figures? You can express your opinions in the comments.
