Ana sayfa / Computers

Apple first chose to use the M4 chip in the iPad Pro. The new processor, which made its debut with the iPad launch at the beginning of the year, is finally getting ready to power Mac models. Apple is reportedly working on four new M4 Macs in this context.

Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman has revealed that Apple is accelerating testing of four new Mac models that will be powered by the M4 chip. The tech giant plans to refresh its MacBook Pro, Mac mini and iMac lines with the new M4 silicon chip this year.

Developer logs shared by Gurman show that four Macs are equipped with base-level M4 chips. Three of the machines have a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU. The fourth version has an 8-core GPU and 8-core CPU, an unprecedented M4 configuration.

Valve confirms Deadlock for the first time

Valve made the first announcement for Deadlock. Expected to be an Overwatch-style 6v6 shooter, what does Deadlock offer?

All models in the testing process are configured with 16GB and 32GB memory. For comparison, the M4 chip that powers the iPad Pro comes in two flavors. The 256GB and 512GB models use a 9-core CPU/10-core GPU, while the 1TB and 2TB tablets use a 10-core CPU/10-core GPU.

It is unclear whether the Mac mini and 14-inch-16-inch MacBook Pro will be included in the testing process. Gurman also did not mention the M4 Pro and M4 Max chips. It is also unknown whether Apple will offer new M4 variants this year.

Apple is scheduled to launch the iPhone 16 next month. The launch of the new Mac models could take place in October.
