From Software’s acclaimed action RPG Bloodborne, released for PS4 in 2015, has long been requested by gamers to come to PC. The company’s president Hidetaka Miyazaki shared his thoughts on these demands.
Hidetaka Miyazaki spoke about Bloodborne PC port
In an interview with PC Gamer, From Software’s president Hidetaka Miyazaki expressed his desire for Bloodborne to come to PC. Miyazaki, sitting alongside producer Yasuhiro Kitao and translator Bobby Simpson, said, “I know people want a PC port of Bloodborne. If I want one, I’ll get in trouble. But I’m not against it.”
“As the game’s creator, I would love for Bloodborne to be experienced by more players,” Miyazaki said, adding: “Especially as an aging game, it would be nice for more players to experience and relive this relic of the past. So, from my perspective, I’m definitely not opposed to that.”
While these statements raise hopes for a PC port or remake of Bloodborne, it’s important to remember that the decision rests with Sony. Back in February, Miyazaki said that he was very happy to hear calls for a remake or re-release of Bloodborne.
From Software’s last game, Elden Ring, was released in February 2022 and sold 25 million copies worldwide. Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion will be released on June 21st. Miyazaki has stated that he has no plans to make a second Elden Ring DLC, but leaves the door open for a possible sequel.
