Samsung’s countdown has begun for the upcoming Galaxy A17 phone. The device, which will be the successor to the Galaxy A16, will bring some important design and hardware innovations. The latest reports reveal the product’s features in detail.
Galaxy A17 features revealed
The Galaxy A17 comes with a thinner and lighter design compared to its predecessor. The device is only 7.5 mm thick and weighs 192 grams. Its 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate, and the protection technology will be Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.
Samsung will continue to use the Exynos 1330 processor in the new model but will increase the memory and storage options. Users will be offered 4/6/8 GB of RAM along with 128/256 GB of storage. The device will also support microSD cards up to 2 TB, providing additional space for photos and applications.
The back of the Galaxy A17 model will feature a triple camera setup. This system will include a 50 Megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 5 Megapixel ultra-wide-angle, and a 2 Megapixel macro camera. Furthermore, it will provide protection against dust and light water splashes with its IP54 certification.
The product will come with a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging. The retail box for products sold in the European market will also include a charging adapter.
Samsung will also add artificial intelligence features to the device, such as Gemini, Circle to Search, and Cross App AI. It will be launched with the Android 16-based One UI 7 interface and will be sold for under $200. Finally, we should note that it will receive updates for 6 years.
