Samsung has announced plans to roll out the One UI 6.1 software update to many older Galaxy smartphone and tablet models starting next month. The update will bring artificial intelligence capabilities to devices with Galaxy AI.
Which Samsung phones will get One UI 6.1?
The One UI 6.1 update is currently only available on the S24 family. Notable devices that will receive the update include the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE and flagship models like the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5. Premium tablets like the Galaxy Tab S9 series will also be updated.
Samsung is targeting late March for initial rollouts, although the exact rollout schedule varies. Some regions may receive a faster rollout depending on testing and certification. However, late March and early April is expected in Turkey.
The new One UI will offer Galaxy AI’s suite of ChatGPT-like AI tools, first introduced in the Galaxy S24 series. Upcoming features include Circle to Search with Google, which instantly finds objects from photos, Live Translate for real-time translation during searches, and Interpreter for language translation.
Additional Galaxy AI features in One UI 6.1 are also notable. Users will be able to take advantage of Chat Assist for translating messages and Generative Edit for advanced photo editing across devices.
Owners of flagship Galaxy phones and tablets can expect One UI 6.1 to roll out starting next month.
