Samsung may have switched to a new nomenclature for the flagship series it will launch in 2025. The company, which dropped the Galaxy Note naming after the release of foldable smartphones, may return to the Note brand with the Galaxy S25.
Samsung may switch to S25 Note instead of Galaxy S25 Ultra
Recent leaks on social media revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will change. In this context, it was stated that the top-end model of the Galaxy S25 series could be called S25 Note. This indicates that the brand, which was left in 2021, will return.
According to the leak, Samsung thinks other brands are using the Ultra name too much. That’s why the company wants its high-end smartphone to have a different identity. Reviving the Note name could also bring S-Pen support back to the forefront.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 Plus may be renamed Galaxy S25 Pro. This nomenclature means that it will be positioned as a “Pro” model with more advanced features compared to the standard S25. Samsung will also follow the naming approach used by Apple in the iPhone 15 series.
The S25 Ultra, which Samsung is expected to unveil in early 2025, apparently replaces the sharp edges of the S24 Ultra with curved edges. Although the sharp edges on the S24 Ultra looked nice, they made it difficult to use according to user comments.
Although Exynos 2500 processor is offered for Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ in some regions, there is no such difference in Ultra models. As for the camera, 200 megapixel main, 50 megapixel telephoto, 50 megapixel super telephoto, and 50 megapixel ultra wide-angle camera will be used.
