Oura Ring, which unquestionably dominated the sector until the Samsung Galaxy Ring came to the market this year, is apparently not affected at all by the remarkable debut of its rival … Oura, which achieved quite excellent sales figures all over the world, was jaw-dropping with the figures it announced. Here are the details…
2.5 million devices and $500 million in sales revenue for Oura!
Finland-based Oura has once again proved that it is the leader of the global smart ring market as of 2024. The company announced that it sold 2.5 million devices this year, generating a total revenue of $ 500 million.
Smart rings track biometric data ranging from sleep patterns to physical activity and stress levels with 20 different sensors. This data can be viewed through an app that offers a personalised ‘readiness score’. Smart rings, which at first seemed like a project that would not be very popular, took the whole world under the influence of the Finnish company’s initiative.
Oura’s success is not limited to sales figures. The company is increasing its popularity by becoming the choice of famous names. While names such as Prince Harry, Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow prefer Oura, the Pentagon’s order of 96 million dollars for soldiers stands out as another remarkable success of the ring.
Oura plans to develop new features supported by artificial intelligence, not just ring sales.
The company increased its total value to $5.2 billion with a new $200 million financing round led by Fidelity Management and participated by major investors such as Dexcom. ‘We are making great strides to further our mission to make health a daily habit, and this funding will open the door to new opportunities,’ said CEO Tom Hale.
