Samsung, with its flagship models, holds a significant place in the smartphone world. The company is preparing to introduce its new series at the beginning of next year. Here’s what we know so far about the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s features:
200 Megapixel Camera, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, 5000 mAh Battery, and More
Samsung’s current most powerful device, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, has been well-received by users. The company has significantly reduced the gap with Apple in recent years and aims to continue making a strong statement with its new device.
Display
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a 6.8-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with HDR10+ support, a 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of 2600 nits. The display will also offer a resolution of 1440×3120 pixels (~505 ppi) and be protected by Corning Gorilla Armor.
Processor
Samsung has historically used both Qualcomm and its own Exynos processors in its flagship devices. However, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor due to the Exynos 2500 not being ready in time for the launch. There’s still a chance we might see Exynos models in the S25 family later on.
Camera
The device will feature a quad-camera setup on the back, headlined by a 200MP main camera with OIS. It will also include a 10MP telephoto lens, and two 50MP lenses with different focal lengths. The rear camera setup will support 8K and 4K video recording. On the front, there will be a 12MP selfie camera capable of 4K recording and features like Dual Video Call and Auto-HDR.
Dimensions, Weight, RAM, and Storage Options
The Galaxy S25 Ultra will measure 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm and weigh 219 grams. It will offer 16GB of RAM and come in storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, utilizing UFS 4.0 technology.
Battery and Charging
The device will be powered by a 5000 mAh Li-Ion battery with support for 45W fast charging, which will charge the device up to 65% in just 30 minutes. It will also support 25W wireless charging and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
