Galaxy S26 could break speed records

Ana sayfa / News

Samsung is introducing a significant RAM upgrade for all models in its next flagship phone, the Galaxy S26. The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra will all feature Samsung’s fastest RAM featuring LPDDR5X technology.

Memory capacity in the new series is expected to start at 12GB. This LPDDR5X RAM, which Samsung will reportedly use in all Galaxy S26 models, offers a high bandwidth of 10.7Gbps.

This speed represents a significant increase over the 8.5Gbps RAM used in the previous-generation Galaxy S25 Ultra. This memory upgrade will benefit users in many areas, especially performance.

The new LPDDR6 memory technology is expected to be unveiled at CES in January 2026, but the Galaxy S26 series will not be equipped with this technology. Samsung is using LPDDR5x memory with a maximum speed of 10.7 Gbps in all S26 series devices.

Samsung’s use of higher-bandwidth memory in its flagship devices will directly impact camera performance. Faster LPDDR5x RAM offers improvements such as faster switching between cameras, faster image processing, reduced artifacts related to moving objects in portrait shots, and fewer dropped frames during video recording. This high-speed memory solution also provides lower power consumption and improved thermal efficiency.
