Galaxy S26 Ultra Leaks Disappoint Fans With No Battery Boost and iPhone-Like Design

Ana sayfa / Smartphones

Two new leaks about the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra have landed, and if you’re a long-time Samsung user, they’re probably not what you wanted to hear. With six months to go until Samsung’s expected February 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event, early details are painting a picture of small upgrades and familiar frustrations.

One of the biggest letdowns? Battery life. According to multiple sources, Samsung is reportedly sticking with the same 5,000 mAh battery that’s been in every Ultra model since the Galaxy S20 Ultra. That would make the S26 Ultra the sixth phone in a row with no upgrade in battery capacity.

There is one possible upside. Leaks suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may finally support 65W wired fast charging, up from the current 45W cap. While that would help users top up faster, it still doesn’t fix the core issue: Ultra buyers want longer battery life, not just faster refills.

Awe Dropping Apple Event to Unveil iPhone 17 Air and Six More New Products

Apple’s Awe Dropping event will unveil seven new products, led by the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air and Liquid Glass design.

Then there’s the aesthetic shift. The Galaxy S25 Ultra received a mixed response for ditching the squared-off look of its predecessors in favor of rounded edges, a change many users said made it feel too much like an iPhone. Now, early renders of the S26 Ultra suggest Samsung is leaning even further into that direction.

Leakers report the S26 Ultra will have a more curved chassis and a slightly larger 6.89-inch display, achieved not by increasing the phone’s size but by shrinking the bezels. That might be a win for screen real estate, but not for fans who miss the sharper industrial design that once set the Ultra line apart.

As of now, Samsung hasn’t officially commented on any S26 Ultra specs. However, here’s a quick list of what current leaks suggest:

If accurate, these changes are likely to divide the fanbase. Some users want Samsung to evolve, while others feel like the Ultra series is drifting further from its original identity.

With half a year to go, there’s still time for Samsung to reveal meaningful improvements that haven’t leaked yet. But so far, the early picture of the Galaxy S26 Ultra looks like more of the same just a little faster, and a little more like the competition.
