South Korean tech giant Samsung has made its highly anticipated move in the smartphone world. The company officially confirmed the next-generation chipset is on its way with a promotional video for the Exynos 2600 processor.
The first official hint of the Exynos 2600 processor has been released.
Samsung has released a striking video on YouTube titled “The next Exynos.” The most striking detail in the video is its theme, reminiscent of the atmosphere and music from the popular TV series Stranger Things. With this video, the company not only confirmed that the new processor will be called the Exynos 2600 but also hinted at the chip’s design philosophy.
The video describes the processor as “refined at its core” and “optimized at every level.” Furthermore, the phrase “coming soon” in the description suggests that the launch is imminent. Samsung is known to typically announce an Exynos processor just before launching a device that plans to use it. This is seen as the strongest evidence that the new chip will be featured in the upcoming Galaxy S series.
With this confirmation, the processor distribution of the Galaxy S26 family has begun to become clear. Expectations are that the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus will come with either the Exynos 2600 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processors, depending on the region where they are sold. The Galaxy S26 Ultra, the most powerful model in the series, is expected to be available only with the Snapdragon processor globally.
While the full specifications of the new Exynos processor have not yet been released, expectations are quite high. The processor is expected to feature the latest Arm CPU technology, an advanced AMD graphics unit (GPU), and a 2nm manufacturing process. In past years, Exynos processors have been somewhat behind their Snapdragon competitors in terms of performance, but they have been impressive in terms of efficiency. Tech enthusiasts are now eagerly awaiting how this new, reportedly optimized chip will perform in performance tests.
