OPPO, one of the successful players in the foldable phone market, is set to launch the highly anticipated Find N5 soon. The common point of all the reports that have emerged so far about the model is that it will offer a flagship user experience. Moreover, the product is expected to make a breakthrough in some areas.
OPPO Find N5: The Thinnest Foldable Phone
According to OPPO’s senior executive Pete Lau, the Find N5 will be the world’s thinnest foldable phone. The company highlighted this aspect by comparing the phone to a pencil. In this context, it is said that the device will be thinner than a pencil, which is approximately 7 mm in width when unfolded. When folded, the phone is expected to be under 10 mm in thickness.
In addition to its slim design, the foldable phone is said to have a titanium body, making it more durable. Furthermore, it is expected to come with an IPX8 certification. For reference, the Find N3, released in 2023, did not have an IP rating.
The OPPO Find N5 could be the thinnest foldable phone. With a titanium coating, it is set to be introduced next month.
According to reliable industry sources, the foldable phone will feature a 6.4-inch external display. Additionally, it will come with an 8-inch main display with a 2K resolution. Both panels are expected to support a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The foldable phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Moreover, it will feature a 5700 mAh battery supporting 80W wired charging. It will also come with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.
On the back panel, we will see a triple camera setup consisting of a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50 MP telephoto sensor. The resolution of the selfie camera is currently unknown.
It has been confirmed that OPPO will introduce the Find N5 in China in February 2025. Additionally, the foldable phone is expected to arrive globally under the name OnePlus Open 2 in the first half of 2025.
