Galaxy Z Fold 8 leak teases bigger battery, better hinge, and S Pen comeback

Ana sayfa / News

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 may still be months from launch, but fresh leaks are already offering a peek into what Samsung’s next flagship foldable has in store. And from the looks of it, display improvements and battery upgrades are high on the priority list.

According to the latest leak, Samsung plans to introduce “laser-drilling metal plate” technology in the Fold 8’s hinge system. The aim? Reduce the screen crease, one of the most persistent complaints from Fold users since the beginning of the line.

If the rumor holds up, the Fold 8 could debut with the smoothest folding display yet from Samsung. Interestingly, the same hinge tech is also rumored to be part of Apple’s upcoming iPhone Fold, signaling a potential new standard for future foldables.

OnePlus 15 launches in China with 165Hz screen and massive 7,300mAh battery

OnePlus 15 launches in China with a 165Hz display and 7,300mAh battery. A global release is confirmed to follow soon.

One of the more surprising upgrades in the leak involves the battery. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to pack a battery exceeding 5,000mAh, a major bump from the Fold7’s 4,400mAh.

Battery life has always been one of the Fold series’ weaker points, especially considering its multitasking focus and large dual displays. This larger battery could finally address the endurance gap that plagued earlier models.

Another welcome return: S Pen support. The Fold7 skipped built-in stylus storage, relying instead on case-based solutions. If Samsung finds a way to integrate it directly into the Fold 8’s design or even just improve S Pen compatibility, it’ll be a strong pull for productivity users.

Samsung is expected to unveil both the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip8 in July 2026, assuming no delays. That would keep with the company’s usual Unpacked timeline for foldable devices.

As always, the specs are still unofficial, but if the leaks are on target, the Fold 8 could mark the most significant usability upgrade since the Fold series began.

Between the bigger battery, improved display, and stylus return, Samsung may finally be closing the gap between foldables and traditional flagships.
