The gaming world is abuzz with rumors of Xbox Game Pass coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The collaboration between the two platforms gives you access to Microsoft’s game library on a portable device. New games from many categories will also be coming to Switch.
Game Pass could be available on Nintendo Switch 2
According to the promotional video shared by Nintendo, Switch 2 will have a larger body than the original model. The Joy-Con controllers will be magnetically attached to the console and will feature a black design. There’s also a new button under the right Joy-Con, confirming earlier leaks.
Xbox Game Pass being available on Switch 2 could further increase the console’s user base. Being able to test Halo, Forza and other Xbox franchises on portables could drive many gamers to Switch 2.
Although no official announcement has yet been made, the possibility of a collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo has sparked speculation. We know there would be benefits for both companies. Nintendo would gain access to a vast library of games, while Microsoft could expand its reach by leveraging the Switch’s user base.
Of course, the consequences of this possible alliance could also benefit the portable Xbox console. Accordingly, Microsoft is taking decisive steps to release a portable game console. However, it won’t be a cloud-only device like Sony’s PlayStation Portal.
