Garmin D2 Air X15 tipped for launch with major upgrades

Ana sayfa / News

A new aviation smartwatch may be flying in soon. According to fresh leaks, the Garmin D2 Air X15 is in the pipeline and could launch this autumn. If the reports hold, it’ll replace the aging D2 Air X10 and pack key upgrades pulled straight from the recently announced Venu 4.

It’s been over three years since Garmin launched the D2 Air X10. That model was built on the Venu 2 Plus platform, but the company skipped an update during the Venu 3 cycle. Now, insiders believe the new Garmin D2 Air X15 will jump directly to the Venu 4 base.

The upgrades could include improved sensors, better battery efficiency, and smarter health tracking features that define the Venu 4. At the same time, Garmin seems keen to retain key aviation tools from the X10 generation.

Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro Black Gold now sells in the US with AMOLED screen, titanium bezel, offline maps, and 25-day battery life.

Despite the new foundation, the D2 Air X15 is still expected to offer:

These features continue to set Garmin’s aviation watches apart from their fitness-first siblings.

Garmin’s recent smartwatch wave includes the Venu 4, Bounce 2, and new Instinct Crossover models. Yet the D2 line remains quiet—at least officially. Even so, multiple sources suggest the Garmin D2 Air X15 will be the next to break cover.

While Garmin hasn’t confirmed a date, leaks point to a fall release window. The timing lines up with previous D2 launches, and excitement among pilots and wearables fans is already building.

Still, one model remains under wraps: the D2 Mach 2, which leaked earlier this year but hasn’t resurfaced.

If Garmin sticks the landing, the D2 Air X15 could bring long-awaited updates without losing what made the D2 Air line so trusted. The sky’s not the limit, it’s just the starting point.
