GeForce 581.08 driver released: Here’s what’s new

Ana sayfa / News

Nvidia has released the latest Game Ready 581.08 WHQL driver for its GeForce graphics cards. This version, which includes the improvements unveiled at Gamescom, stands out particularly for its support for Global DLSS settings and Smooth Motion for the RTX 40 series.

The new driver streamlines the user experience by allowing users to manage DLSS usage in games from a single location. Smooth Motion, which provides a smoother experience for RTX 40 series cards, is now enabled. Another newly added feature is Project G-Assist.

This AI-powered gaming assistant is now available for all RTX GPUs with 6GB of VRAM and above. Surround setup via the Nvidia App has also gained a more user-friendly interface.

In addition to performance optimizations, the new driver also fixes bugs in many games. This update addresses the crash experienced when ray tracing was enabled in Cyberpunk 2077’s photo mode, the performance drop in Marvel Rivals on the 580.88 driver, the crash experienced with Smooth Motion enabled in Forza Motorsport, and stability issues in Gray Zone Warfare and ARK: Survival Ascended. Other issues addressed include a potential memory leak and monitor flickering during NVENC hardware rendering.

However, some known issues persist with the driver. Text corruption is observed in Counter-Strike 2 when the game resolution is lower than the screen’s native resolution, freezing during hardware rendering in Adobe Premiere Pro, and flickering in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
