Update 1.100 for the open-world action game Ghost of Yotei, released on November 24th, offers its largest content pack to date. Developer Sucker Punch Productions has added a number of significant technical and content changes to the game, including the long-awaited New Game Plus (New Game+) feature.
Major Update for Ghost of Yotei
With the update, Ghost of Yotei now features a New Game+ mode, allowing players to replay the game immediately after completing the main story. In this mode, all of Atsu’s armor, abilities, and weapons are available from the very beginning.
Furthermore, players can now interact with a new vendor who accepts the unique Ghost Flowers currency earned by completing quests. Players can earn a total of 30 new cosmetic items, including armor sets, talismans, and other cosmetic items, using this currency. An additional upgrade tier is also added for existing armor sets.
For players who prefer not to restart the game, this update also brings replayable content. Various content within the game’s open world, including 22 Yotei Six Camps and 26 challenging duels, is now available for replay.
On the technical front, there are significant improvements; Ghost of Yotei now offers VRR support, allowing players to experience smoother frame rates on compatible monitors or televisions. Additionally, a “Balanced” graphics mode has been added, which balances Performance and Quality settings. However, this mode requires a display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate.
Extensive additions have been made to gameplay and customization options. Players can now disable fall damage, skip Sumi-e activities entirely, and enable automatic looting of dead enemies.
Various control adjustments, such as remapping the touchpad scroll options to the D-Pad, are also available. The update also includes a number of bug fixes, including several rare crash fixes, fixes for rare visual glitches, and fixes for mission-breaking bugs encountered in several missions.
Minor adjustments have been made to talisman description text to better explain talisman perks, and new features and additional icons have been added to photo mode. This major patch also includes an additional save point and new alternative controls for minigames to enhance the player experience.
