Good news for Apple CarPlay Ultra

Ana sayfa / News

Apple’s new iPhone 17 series will undoubtedly dominate the tech world next week. However, September 9th could be a critical turning point not only for the new iPhones but also for Apple’s next-generation in-car infotainment system, CarPlay Ultra. Furthermore, this major innovation could be unveiled at an auto show before Apple takes the stage.

While all eyes will be on Apple’s event in California, the IAA Mobility auto show, which opens its doors in Munich, Germany, on the same day, could be where CarPlay Ultra will make its debut. Industry expectations suggest that South Korean automotive giant Hyundai is preparing to officially announce CarPlay Ultra support on the first day of the show.

Due to the time difference, press events in Munich will begin hours before Apple’s launch. This will allow Hyundai, and potentially other brands, to debut the new system in their own vehicles before Apple does.

Aston Martin was the first brand to announce CarPlay Ultra support. However, new and powerful names are expected to join this list at the IAA Mobility show. Among the brands that will have booths at the show are giants like Hyundai, Kia, Genesis, Ford, and Porsche, which have previously pledged to transition to CarPlay Ultra.

While no official confirmation has yet been received from these brands, the fact that they are all in Munich at the same time strengthens the possibility that September 9th will become a collective show of force for CarPlay. This, even if overshadowed by the iPhone 17 headlines, makes the IAA Mobility show one of the most important events of the week for automotive and technology enthusiasts.
