Good news for gamers from Microsoft and AMD! FSR support is here

Ana sayfa / News

Microsoft has taken an important step that excites gamers. The company announced that its DirectSR API now supports AMD FSR 3.1 (FidelityFX Super Resolution). The DirectSR API, which was developed to unify different super resolution (SR) technologies, has previously supported Intel’s XeSS and NVIDIA’s DLSS. Now, with the addition of AMD’s FSR 3.1 support, Windows games will be smoother, more detailed and more visually satisfying.

The innovations brought by FSR 3.1 are quite interesting. First of all, FSR 3.1 offers two major improvements over FSR 2.2. First, it improves time stability and minimizes glare and flicker issues during gameplay.

This ensures that the screen stays smooth even during fast action sequences. The second is more effective suppression of ghosting. Thanks to this feature, gameplay continues without loss of detail even in moving scenes. Especially in high-resolution games, such optimizations make games feel almost real.

Another big advantage of the FSR 3.1 SDK is that it’s compatible with popular platforms like DirectX 12, Vulkan and Unreal Engine 5. This means that developers can use FSR 3.1 in their games to deliver excellent performance on a wider range of hardware.

With the DirectSR API, game developers will be able to take advantage of super-resolution technologies from AMD, Intel and NVIDIA through a single interface. With the integration of FSR 3.1 with DirectSR, games will be even smoother.
