Exciting news has emerged for Hogwarts Legacy, the game that helped revitalize the Harry Potter brand in the gaming world. According to a recent report by industry insider Tom Henderson, Warner Bros. Games is working on a project that is almost guaranteed to be a success, aimed at lifting the dark clouds surrounding the company. This project is said to be Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition.
Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition DLC to Offer 10 to 15 Hours of New Content
According to Henderson, Hogwarts Legacy Definitive Edition will bring approximately 10-15 hours of additional content, including new story missions, side quests, activities, and outfits. Players who already own the base game will be able to purchase the DLC for around $20 to $30.
While the source did not reveal an exact release date for the DLC, it suggests that 2025 would be an ideal time for its launch. It’s important to note that Warner Bros. Games has not made an official announcement about this yet, so for now, this remains speculation.
After suffering over $200 million in losses from Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it makes sense for Warner Bros. Games to make such a move. Hogwarts Legacy made quite a splash when it was first released, selling 24 million copies to date and bringing some much-needed success to the company.
Plans for Hogwarts Legacy don’t stop there. Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels recently hinted that we could see a sequel within the next few years. While no specific date has been given, Hogwarts Legacy 2 could potentially release in 2026 or 2027.
