Good news for the new Mercedes-Benz GLA

Ana sayfa / Technology

The new Mercedes-Benz GLA is set to launch in both conventional and fully electric versions. The conventional GLA will replace the second-generation gasoline-powered GLA in early 2027. The electric version will replace the EQA and hit the market in the second half of 2026.

At over 4,500 mm long, the new GLA will offer a more spacious interior than the current model. While full interior design details have not yet been released, it will include a large, floating display inspired by the CLA sedan. It is expected to feature an advanced cabin equipped with an artificial intelligence-assisted system.

The electric GLA will adopt the CLA’s 800-volt architecture. This will enable a range of up to 779 km with 58.5 kWh lithium-iron phosphate or 85 kWh tri-component lithium-ion batteries. Power outputs will range from 268 to 349 horsepower with single or dual-engine options.

The electric version will feature a front tailgate, a feature not found on the current EQA. At least two high-performance AMG versions featuring axial-flow engines from the British automaker are also planned for launch in 2027.

The conventionally fueled GLA will be powered by a hybrid-assisted 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine will be offered in three power levels: 134, 161, and 188 horsepower. Torque will be delivered via an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

This diversity in the new GLA aims to appeal to different user needs. Which version do you think users will be most interested in?
