The countdown has begun for the Xiaomi 13T series, which has been making headlines with leaks for quite some time. The phones are expected to be unveiled on September 26th, and even the sales pages have recently been leaked, providing insight into technical specifications and design, leaving fewer question marks about the user experience. A recent report highlights an important difference between the Xiaomi 13T’s European and Chinese versions.
Xiaomi 13T is coming exclusively to Europe
In previously leaked images of the Xiaomi 13T series, only the Pro model featured the Leica signature. In fact, in the unboxing video of the standard model that surfaced a few weeks ago, this feature was not seen.
However, in newly shared render images, the Leica signature is present in the entire series, including the standard model. According to Xiaomiui, known for its leaks in the industry, this is because the Xiaomi 13T will come with Leica cameras for the global market, in contrast to the Chinese version. This implies that the smartphone will offer Leica-related features such as color processing and filters exclusively to European users.
The Xiaomi 13T model will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. The phone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 processor, and it will be available with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Additionally, it will be powered by a 5000mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging.
The device will have a Leica 50-megapixel primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel Leica 2x telephoto lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. It can also record 4K video at 30 FPS.
The 13T will come with a dual SIM card slot and will run Android 13. It will support wireless connectivity options like USB-C, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Additionally, it will be rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
