Capcom has shared some exciting news for Resident Evil fans, especially those who love collecting physical media. The series, which rose from the ashes with its remake production starting from Resident Evil 2 and has since significantly expanded its global fan base, is now offering something that will please collectors. Here are the details…
Physical PS5 editions of Resident Evil are coming!
Capcom’s decision stands out as a move that physical game collectors have long been waiting for. These three iconic titles, specially optimized for the PS5, have been reworked to take full advantage of modern console technology.
Players can now enjoy visual enhancements such as 4K resolution, improved frame rates, and ray tracing, as well as the haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features offered by the DualSense controller.
Resident Evil 2 Remake stands out as one of the most highly regarded titles in the series. Blending the atmosphere of the original game with modern mechanics, the game has become one of the most successful examples of the horror genre in recent years.
Resident Evil 3 Remake reinterprets the nerve-wracking presence of Nemesis with next-gen graphics, while Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Gold Edition includes the main game along with the Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, and End of Zoe DLCs.
The games are set to hit shelves in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Asia on December 6, while Japan will receive them on December 26. The North American market will get access to the trilogy in January 2025. Each game is expected to be priced at $29.99. Whether the games will be available in other countries is still uncertain.
