Google and Samsung are developing smart glasses!

The Android XR glasses, jointly developed by Google and Samsung, will be released under the Samsung brand in 2026. The smart glasses focused on extended reality have only been exhibited in the prototype phase to date.

Google first introduced Android XR technology at events held in December 2024 and has continued to exhibit these prototypes on different platforms since then. However, details about the technical specifications of the glasses have not been officially announced to date.

Although Google introduced the product, it is stated that the sales and distribution operations will be carried out by Samsung. The first images were shared with the public at Google’s XR Unlock event in December 2024. It was said that the prototypes used in this introduction were Samsung’s devices in the development process.
