You can now unlock your car with Google Android Auto features
Although Google already released this feature in several European countries, the company is expanding the “Unlock Your Car with Just Your Phone” feature to select car brands, including Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia models in the U.S. Canada, and Korea. If you have compatible Pixel and Samsung devices like the Pixel 7 Pro and Samsung S23+, you can now unlock, lock, and start your car with just your phone. Also, you can even share your digital key wirelessly with family and friends across both Android and iOS.
With the latest update, WebEx by Cisco and Zoom are coming to Google Android Auto with audio-only capability, introducing a whole new category of apps. We can answer calls while driving for a long time thanks to this technology, but it is now getting better. With the new steps, you can now join scheduled meetings and conference calls from your car display.
One of the best new improvements on Android Auto is the new entertainment apps. Google has announced that you can now catch up on your favorite content including the Emmy-winning series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” hits like “AIR,” “Creed III,” “The Boys,” “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and more. You can watch your favorite content while parked on select Renault, Polestar, and Volvo Cars via Prime Video.
Additionally, you can now follow the weather forecaster on your car display. Google says, “The Weather Channel, the world’s most accurate weather forecaster, allows drivers to always stay up-to-date on changing weather conditions with hourly forecasts, follow-me alerting, and “Trip View” radar, helping keep drivers aware of the conditions ahead.”
