Google announced new Android-centered improvements and features at MWC 2023. Making statements within the scope of the MWC 2023 exhibition, Google introduced the latest improvements and features for the Android ecosystem and more. Some of these features will release today, while others will be released later. Among the features coming out today is the page zoom feature added to Chrome for Android.
Features and improvements announced by Google at MWC 2023
Currently, when you pinch to zoom in Chrome for Android, the entire page zooms in, similar to zooming in on a photo. In the new infrastructure, on-screen pinch zoom will only increase the size of text, images, videos, and controls. In this way, the page layout will remain undistorted. Also, noise cancellation has been added to Google Meet.
Additionally, Google will now allow you to add notes on PDFs using your finger or stylus pen within the Drive app. The company, which provides people with new “Emoji Kitchen (blending two emojis)” combinations in “Gboard”, will activate these features for everyone very soon.
The features we will share now will come later. For example, a wireless headphone-centered quick pairing feature for Chromebooks. Also, a new Android widget for “Keep” that shows all content together is among the features that will come later. There will also be a new payment animation for “Wallet”. Quick access to Keep from Wear OS watches is among the features that will come later. New sound and display modes for Wear OS are also on the way. Here is a video posted by Google explaining the new features:
Meanwhile, after Android 13, Google focused all its attention on the Android 14 operating system. The first developer preview version was released last month. The version, on which serious work has been done, does not carry any major changes. But of course, there are some useful features that the new version brings.
