Google keeps improving its popular operating system, Android. While the company has recently released several new features to the system, it also published a new blog post today. According to the post, Google releases several new Android features, including a new Reading mode, a YouTube widget, and some features to Wear OS. Here are the details about new Android features.
New YouTube widget for Android coming
People have requested a YouTube widget for Android for a long time. Finally, Google releases the widget to quickly get you in touch with your YouTube library, subscriptions, or Shorts. It is easy to use the widget and add it to your home screen. Tap “Widgets” on the pop-up, find YouTube and put it on your screen. If you cannot see it, it may not be available for your device yet. However, it should be available soon.
One of the new Android features is to create a collage using the Google Photos App. Google now lets you create collages on its Photos app. You can open the app, long-press on two to six pictures, tap the “Add to” tab at the bottom of the screen, and tap collage to create a collage. Additionally, you can choose a few new layout options from “Australian husband-and-wife visual duo DABSMYLA and renowned watercolor artist Yao Cheng Design.”
Google also brings a new Reading Mode that can help those who are blind, dyslexic, or have low vision. If you have a vision problem, dyslexia, or are blind, Google’s new Android feature will allow you to choose the display options on your device. You can make your handset read the text out loud, adjust the reading speed and the voice, customize contrast, color, and font size, and more. You can install the Reading mode app from the Play Store, and use it easily.
There are also new features such as casting directly from the Google TV app to your television set at home, sharing digital car keys with iPhone users, and new tiles on Wear OS. According to the expectations, the update will be available on December 5th.
