Google unveiled the Pixel 9 series the other day. With the series consisting of Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL, it managed to attract all the attention. Then it was revealed that the Google Pixel 7 series was canceled.
End of the road for Google Pixel 7 series
Google has officially discontinued the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, as well as the Pixel Fold foldable device. The company no longer lists the Pixel 7 family in the “Browse Phones” section of the Google Store.
The Pixel 7 and 7 Pro were released in the fall of 2022 and boasted improved camera performance. It stood out with powerful features such as the Tensor G2 chipset. However, since they were released in late 2022, they no longer receive sales support.
Google probably thought it was time to stop selling the Pixel 7 family to pave the way for newer options. In this context, the Pixel Fold model was also removed from the shelves. Support for the device was discontinued to prevent it from facing competition from the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
Google also unveiled the XL model for the first time with the Pixel 9 series. Appealing to users looking for a larger screen, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is Google’s largest model ever at 6.8 inches. It is also powered by 16GB RAM and 5060mAh battery.
Pixel 7 series will no longer be available from Google. It should not be forgotten that some sellers like Amazon can sell these models until they run out of stock. Of course, the Pixel 7 family was not officially sold in Turkey.
