Google is preparing to add some handy controls for managing extensions in Chrome. According to the new feature, the company will allow users to disable all extensions with a single click. This will allow users to temporarily turn off multiple extensions at once.
It is possible to use this feature in different ways. You can test browser performance without any extensions running. You can also fix problems caused by extension conflicts. The new tool is currently being tested in Chrome Canary.
If enabled, Google will offer the option to “Disable all extensions” in the extensions menu. On the other hand, extension toggles will also be added. This will allow for more granular control of each extension.
In addition, the extensions menu will have more rounded corners and dynamic colors that match the theme of the browser. This updated look will align with Google’s Material You interface.
The feature is expected to be available soon for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. The option to disable extensions with a single click could save Chrome users a lot of time.
