One of the biggest technology companies, Google, is now testing a new feature to keep customers’ money safe. According to the latest announcements, the company is testing a price guarantee program for Google Flights. The program is claimed to pay you money if your flight’s price goes down after you booked it through Google Flights. Here are the details about Google’s new price guarantee.
Google Flights will pay you for your booked ticket
The tech giant announced on its Monday blog post that the new feature is now available only in the US as a “pilot program” for specific flights. You booked a ticket, then the price of the ticket went down. At this moment, Google’s price guarantee will pay you the difference between your flight ticket and the current price. You can also check whether current prices are low, typical, or high compared to historical averages.
Google explains, “We’ll monitor the price every day until departure, and if it does go down, we’ll send you back the difference via Google Pay. Now you can book with the confidence that you’re not missing out on a great deal. During this pilot program, price guarantees are only available for ‘Book on Google’ itineraries that depart from the United States.”
Additionally, the company brings two new features for the search section. One of the latest features is the new way to browse hotels. Now, you can get more details about the right hotels you want to stay in by tapping through photos of the hotel. Then you will get more details about the area, view, or hotel rooms.
The last feature is the “Discover unique things to do“, which allows you to create a tour easily. Google says, “Just look for an attraction or tour company on Search or Maps, and you’ll find prices directly on their listing, plus a link to book your ticket. For attractions, like the Tower of London, you’ll also find suggestions for related experiences, like a city-wide tour that includes multiple stops.”
