Google has introduced its new AI-powered video creation tool, “Google Flow,” for content creators. The tool, introduced at the Google I/O 2025 event, allows users to create short video clips using text-based commands and uploaded images.
Google Flow can create AI videos
Google Flow was developed specifically for people who want to create short-length AI videos. The tool can create approximately 8-second video scenes by combining written commands and a few visual inputs from the user.
In addition, thanks to Flow’s scene merging feature, these short clips can be combined sequentially to turn into longer videos. In this way, content creators will be able to create short stories fictionalized with AI.
Google Flow is designed for short-term creative projects and idea scenes rather than a comprehensive film production tool. Content creators can use this tool to create social media videos, promotional scenes, storyboards, or short film pieces.
With this solution, Google will offer more accessible and faster AI support instead of large production tools. Flow is currently only available to Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra subscribers in the US.
The tool is Google’s latest foray into AI-based content creation, following its new Veo 3 video creation system and Imagen 4 visual production technology. What do you think about it? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
