Google has made a move towards artificial intelligence. The company has made significant updates to its Gemini-powered products. Audio files can now be uploaded to the Gemini app. Google Search’s AI mode has been expanded to new languages. NotebookLM has also enhanced its capabilities with new report formats.

According to an X post by Josh Woodward, Vice President of Google Labs and Gemini, the Gemini app has gained audio file support. This feature was reportedly the most requested feature by users.

Free users can upload up to 10 minutes of audio files per day and use five free prompts. For AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers, the audio file upload limit is increased to three hours. Gemini accepts prompts in up to 10 different file formats, including ZIP.

Google Search’s AI mode now supports more languages. Support for five new languages has been added: Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese. According to the company’s blog, this allows more users to ask complex questions in their own language and explore the internet in greater detail.

Gemini-powered NotebookLM has also been updated with new report formats. Users can create blog posts, lecture notes, summary documents, flashcards, and quizzes from uploaded documents, files, and other media content in over 80 languages. The user determines the structure, tone, and style of the reports. The company stated that this feature will be fully available by the end of the week.
