Google Gemini is coming for these models!

Ana sayfa / News

Google’s new Pixel Buds Pro 2 wireless headphones are set to delight users with the integration of the AI assistant Gemini. Users can quickly activate Gemini by customizing the tap-to-activate gesture on the headphones.

With this feature, users can access Gemini Live when they want to initiate a creative brainstorming session. As Google gradually replaces Google Assistant with Gemini on Android phones, this integration becomes increasingly important for the headphones.

Google has confirmed that not only will the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 headphones receive this AI assistant, but previous Pixel Buds models will also be updated with Gemini. This means users will not need to upgrade to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 to access Gemini. The assistant is expected to be available for all previous Pixel Buds models, including the Pixel Buds A series.

Max to use Google’s AI for TV show and movie subtitles

Max platform is introducing an AI-powered subtitle feature for its TV shows. The company has partnered with Google to implement this feature.

In an email sent by Google (via 9to5Google), it was announced that Gemini would soon come to all older Pixel Buds models. This AI-powered digital assistant will function when set as the default assistant on your phone and when available in your country. The company did not provide a specific timeline for when Gemini would be available for older Pixel Buds but indicated that it would happen soon.

Google notes that some features of Pixel Buds may work differently with Gemini compared to Google Assistant. For example, to use Gemini, you’ll need to unlock the paired Android phone. Once unlocked, the AI assistant can provide personalized responses even if the phone is locked. However, if you remove the headphones or disconnect them, these responses cannot be accessed until the phone is unlocked again.

Google also informed Pixel Buds users about changes related to the ‘Hey Google’ command. This command is no longer available as a specific setting on the headphones. Instead, its functionality will depend on the settings of the paired phone. In summary, if you have disabled ‘Hey Google’ detection on your phone, this feature will also not work on the Pixel Buds.
