Google continues its work in the field of artificial intelligence. Most recently, the company announced the Google Genie model, which develops games. In recent years, with significant advancements in artificial intelligence, companies have turned their attention to this field, creating a competitive arena. Microsoft, OpenAI, Meta, and Google are among those competing.
Google introduced the Gemini large language model family a few months ago. This move drew significant attention to the company, and subsequently, with the announcement of Gemini Pro and Gemma language models, Google intensified the competition in the field of artificial intelligence. Now, Google has announced a new model called “Genie,” which develops games. Here are all the details about Google Genie…
What is Google Genie?
Developed by the Google DeepMind team, Genie is an artificial intelligence model capable of generating interactive 2D games based on a single image or text. Users can develop simple games using this model. According to the information provided, Google Genie was trained with 200,000 hours of game videos. Currently, it cannot develop high-level AAA quality games. The company states that the artificial intelligence model can generate 1 FPS (frame per second) games. Additionally, it is mentioned that the model can determine who the main character is and define the character’s characteristics based on the information provided by the user.
In addition, Google’s recently introduced Gemma model aims to support artificial intelligence developers and researchers. Developed by Google DeepMind and other internal teams, this model was found to have a 64.3% accuracy rate in the general Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU) test covering 57 different topics.
