Google’s navigation application, Google Maps, now adds the feature it brought to Android five years ago to iOS. That feature, which will work both on the application and in CarPlay, will be very useful for those who are driving.
Google Maps brings speedometer and speed limits feature to iOS version!
Google Maps is the favorite of not only Android but also iOS users due to its simple usage, traffic information and accurate structure. However, Google apparently does not keep the Android and iOS sides balanced. The company, which added the speedometer and speed limits feature to the Android version five years ago, also added this feature to the iOS version after a long time.
This feature, which shows how many kilometers/hour you are traveling while driving in a vehicle, has been available in the Android version for years. In addition, Google Maps, which also informs you about the speed limit of the road you are traveling on, will now provide this information to iOS users both in the application and in CarPlay.
To activate this feature, after entering the Settings tab of the application, you need to find the Navigation tab and enter the Driving options section there. After activating the feature, you can now see your speed on your phone’s screen and access the speed limits of the road you are on. Of course, the company states that these figures do not fully reflect the truth and recommends that you always pay attention to the speed on your vehicle’s display.
Although it would not be fair for Google to offer such a feature to iOS users in 2024, Apple enthusiasts now have the speed limits and speedometer feature on Google Maps. How did you find this update? You can express your ideas in the comments.
