Google Messages has finally brought long-awaited feature!

Ana sayfa / News

Google has integrated a long-awaited feature into the Messages app. The “delete for everyone” function, which has been available for years in popular messaging apps like WhatsApp and Telegram, can now be used in Google Messages. The feature is currently being tested in the public beta version of the app.

With the new feature, users are faced with two options when they want to delete a message they sent: “Delete for me” and “Delete for everyone”. When the delete for everyone option is used, the message is deleted not only from the sender’s device but also from the recipient’s device. However, it was stated that this process can only be done for 15 minutes. Once the time period is over, the message cannot be retrieved.

Google also says that if the other party has an older version of the app installed on their device, the message may not be deleted. This will require both parties to use the current version of the app for the feature to work fully.

Toyota’s most durable commercial vehicles and features

Toyota's commercial vehicle models that meet the durability and aesthetics of the company are offered to users under Toyota Professional.

According to information from beta users; the delete for everyone feature is actively working in group chats, but it is not currently supported in one-on-one messaging. In addition, if the sent message is deleted, there is no clear information yet about whether the other party will be aware of this process.

Google has not made an official statement about when it will offer this feature to all users. So what do you think about this issue? Do you use the Google Messages application in your daily life? You can share your answers with us in the comments section below.
