Google Messages has its own camera activity, an in-app camera function that doesn’t rely on your phone’s camera app. Now it appears that Google is working on some stylish camera effects for the messaging app, which you may be able to toggle on and off with a button.
Once this feature goes public, you’ll be able to spruce up your photos with filters and cool effects to add extra fun to the camera interface. Additionally, Google Messages may remove the preview of draft messages from the main chat screen.

Contacts section could be removed
Typically, the “Contacts” section shows the people you’re chatting with frequently. However, according to the leak source, a potential change could completely remove this top contacts list. Last year, Google removed showing top contacts when starting a new chat in the app.
Now, it seems like the search giant could take it a step further and completely hide the top contacts section. If that evidence turns into an actual feature, finding message recipients might take a bit more time in the future. We’ll probably have to scroll through our contact list to find them.
