Android 14 will work with Garmin Response for satellite messaging
Satellite messaging for smartphones is one of the most remarkable developments of the last period. Companies such as Huawei and Apple took the first steps last year. Google rolled up its sleeves for the feature that Android users are eagerly waiting for.
Android 14 will have satellite messaging feature. Google plans to get help from the experts for support on this issue. According to the information revealed by important sources, the technology giant has agreed with Garmin Response for the emergency satellite connection feature. The feature is expected to be sent to users in 150 countries.
September last year was the month when smartphones were introduced to satellite connectivity. The Huawei Mate 50 series came with a satellite connection feature that enables communication with the BeiDou satellite network in areas where cellular connections are not available. Soon after, the iPhone 14 series was announced with the same feature.
However, the satellite connectivity feature, which is used when there is no cellular connection, supports communication via SMS in both the Huawei Mate 50 series and the iPhone 14 series. Huawei will offer support that will surpass Apple in this regard. Huawei Mate 60 will provide voice calls over the satellite network.
