The Google Photos app has begun rolling out productive AI editing tools. First available on the Pixel 10 series, this feature is gradually rolling out to other Android device users.
Google Photos offers AI tools
This new AI tool allows users to edit their photos with voice or text commands. Commands are entered into the chat module, which is activated by selecting the “Help Me” option in the app’s editing menu.
Gemini’s advanced capabilities apply the desired changes to the photo. After editing, users can view both the original photo and the edited version and decide which one to use.
With these new tools, complex operations often used in photo editing software, such as “change background” or “remove an object from a photo,” can be performed with just a simple command. This makes it particularly convenient for users inexperienced in photo editing.
The feature is currently available to Android device users in the US. Users who want to use the feature must change their Google account settings to English, enable “Face Groups,” and enable location predictions.
Google is distributing these new tools via an update through the Play Store. This innovation is seen as part of Google’s strategy to integrate AI technologies into everyday products. What are your thoughts on this? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
