Comprehensive details have surfaced about the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Google’s upcoming foldable model set to join the Pixel 10 series. Expected to launch alongside the standard Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro, the device seems poised to set a new industry standard.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold to be the First Foldable Phone with IP68 Certification
According to trusted industry sources, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be the first foldable smartphone to feature an IP68 rating, offering full protection against dust and water. In comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7 comes with an IP48 rating, while vivo’s X Fold 5 offers IP58/IP59+ protection.
The foldable will house a 5,015 mAh battery, surpassing the 4,400 mAh battery found in the Galaxy Z Fold 7.
In terms of design, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will resemble its predecessor. It will sport a 6.4-inch cover display and an 8-inch inner screen, both of which will now feature increased brightness. The peak brightness is expected to reach up to 3,000 nits.
For selfies, both the outer and inner screens will feature 10 MP cameras. On the rear, the setup includes a 48 MP main sensor, a 10.5 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
Powering the device will be Google’s new Tensor G5 chipset, its first processor built on a 3nm manufacturing process. The phone will include 16 GB of RAM and offer storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TB.
