Google is bringing forward the launch calendar for its new flagship smartphone series, the Pixel 10. Special invitations sent as part of the Pixel Superfans program, which the company conducts for its loyal user base, indicated that the Pixel 10 launch will take place much earlier than expected.
Google Pixel 10 is coming earlier than expected
The special event announced to be held on June 27 strengthened the possibility that Google could announce its next-generation Pixel devices right at the beginning of the summer months. Last year, the Pixel 9 series was introduced in October.
However, this year, signs that the launch period has been brought forward to early summer have started to come one after another. Physical event invitations sent to 25 users in the Pixel Superfans community show that Google has the Pixel 10 series on its agenda.
Although the device is not directly mentioned in the event invitation, there is no other major hardware introduction in the current calendar. This strongly suggests that the Pixel 10 family may be at the center of the invitation.
The early launch of the Pixel 10 this year is not just a calendar decision; technical developments also affect this process. The new Tensor G5 processor that will power the device will be manufactured by TSMC for the first time. Google previously worked with Samsung on Tensor chips.
Thanks to the new manufacturing process, a significant leap in both performance and energy efficiency is expected. It is also expected to offer more advanced features in AI-powered operations.
The content of the Superfans event on June 27 has not yet been officially announced. However, considering the increasing leaks about the Pixel 10 and Google’s recent promotional habits, the possibility of the event being the date when the Pixel 10 will make its debut is growing.
