As the launch event approaches, more details are beginning to surface. Today, a generally reliable source provided us with information about the versions in which the two models will be sold. It’s claimed that the Pixel 8 will come with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage, much like its predecessor. Those hoping for an upgrade to 256 GB for the entry-level model will be disappointed. The Pixel 8 will be available in three colors: Sage, Peony, and Haze.
The big brother, Pixel 8 Pro, will come with three storage options. In this device, the existing 128GB/256GB configurations will be accompanied by a 512GB variant. It will be available in three colors: Sage, Porcelain, and Sky. According to previous leaks and rumors, the Pixel 8 Pro will be more expensive than its predecessor was at the Pixel 7 launch. While the Pixel 7 debuted at $600, the Pixel 8 Pro will be released at a price range between $650 and $700.
The Pixel 8 Pro will feature a 6.17-inch 1080×2400 120 Hz display with an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint reader, a 50 MP main camera with the new Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor, the same 12 MP ultra-wide and 11 MP selfie cameras as its predecessor, and a 4,485 mAh battery. It will also incorporate 24W wired and 12W wireless charging support, along with the new generation Tensor chipset.
The Pixel 8 Pro, on the other hand, will feature a 6.7-inch 1344×2992 120 Hz display, the same chipset as the Pixel 8, the same new main camera, a new 64 MP ultra-wide camera, and the same 48 MP telephoto and 11 MP selfie cameras as the Pixel 7 Pro. Let’s reiterate that the expected launch date for these devices is in October.
