Google will announce its next mid-range smartphone, the Pixel 8a, in the coming months. Before the official launch, some details of the device have emerged. Important information about the configurations, color options and pricing of the Pixel 8a was shared.
Google Pixel 8a can start from 570 euro
According to the report, the Pixel 8a will come in two storage variants, 128GB and 256GB. The price of the 128GB model is said to be 570 euros and the 256GB version will be 630 dollars. As a reminder, the Pixel 7a 128GB configuration was released at 499 euros.
In terms of color options, the Pixel 8a can come in four colors. These include Obsidian (black), Porcelain (white), Bay (light blue) and Mint (light green). However, it is unclear whether the four colors will be available for both variants.
Sources also claim that the Pixel 8a will be powered by the Tensor G3 chip. However, this chipset will come overclocked compared to the model used in the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. On the other hand, it is expected to be powered by 8GB of RAM and support 27W fast charging.
Previous leaks revealed that the Pixel 8a will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display and measure 152.1 x 72.6 x 8.9 mm. Other specs are currently unclear.
The report suggests that Google could announce the Pixel 8a in April or May. It should be reminded that Google I/O 2024 will be organized in May. This device will add a more affordable mid-range option to the Pixel 8 series.
