Google will unveil the Pixel 8 series at the Made By Google event in the coming weeks. The relatively affordable Pixel 8a is not expected to be among the products to be introduced. However, with a surprise leak, the real image of the Pixel 8a has emerged.
Google Pixel 8a with round design revealed
The Pixel 8a is expected to be unveiled at the I/O 2023 event in June next year. Although the launch is a long time away, a series of images have hit social media. The photos revealed that there will be significant changes in design compared to previous Pixel A models.
The Pixel 8a features a square and protruding camera module reminiscent of the designs of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7. While the leaked model shows the blue color option, it has a very rounded case compared to previous models.
The leaked images also show what the Pixel 8a display will look like. The bezels seem to be thicker than previous Pixels. We also see that there is a selfie camera embedded in the screen on the front.
Other details from the photos indicate that the Pixel 8a will be powered by the Tensor G3 chipset. This chip is expected to be included in the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, which will be introduced at the launch on October 4.
While the official launch is still a long way off, the first leaks provide a hint of what to expect from Google’s new mid-range device. It’s important to note that these images are unconfirmed, so the thick bezels and rounded edges are subject to change.
