Google’s new flagship phone series Pixel 9 continues to surprise users with its new feature called ‘Adaptive Touch’, which emerged after the launch. With this feature, it turned out that the device can respond even with wet fingers or screen protectors. Here are the details…

While Google didn’t dwell on the subject at launch, there’s a new Adaptive Touch option in the device’s display settings menu. When enabled, the device automatically adjusts touch sensitivity based on environmental conditions, usage patterns, and the presence of a screen protector.

This feature, which is enabled by default on the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL models, is especially useful when used with wet fingers. This feature, which was rumored in March, is now officially available to users.

Google Pixel 9 spotted on Geekbench with Tensor G4! Disappointing?

The Google Pixel 9 series' processor, Tensor G4, showed off its performance on Geekbench today. However, the result was not as expected.

Alongside Adaptive Touch, there is also the option of classic screensaver mode for those who prefer manual screensaver detection.

The Adaptive Touch feature is active by factory default on the Pixel 9 series, but users can turn it off from the settings if they wish. Although users were surprised that this feature was not mentioned at Google’s
Made by Google 2024 event, this can be explained by the fact that the event was mostly focused on artificial intelligence.
