Last month, with the announcement of the Pixel 9 series, Google introduced significant innovations in the Android world. Along with the new processors, cameras, and design, positioning these devices among the Android flagship models, the tech giant is also working on a device for lower budgets. The Google Pixel 9a is expected to be launched with the Tensor G4 processor but will offer slightly lower specifications. Here are the details…
Google Pixel 9a to Launch with a Lower-Modem Tensor G4 Processor
As in every series, Google will unveil the more affordable “a” model about six months after the initial launch. Expected to be introduced between March and May 2025, the Pixel 9a will cater to budget-conscious users. This model will complete the lineup for the Pixel 9 series.
According to new reports, Google will equip the Pixel 9a with the Tensor G4 processor, as with the rest of the series. However, unlike the Pixel 9 models, the Pixel 9a will use the Exynos 5300 modem instead of the Exynos 5400 modem.
Due to this change, the satellite connectivity support announced with the Pixel 9 series will not be available in the Pixel 9a, and its connection performance will be slightly reduced. This difference is expected to result in a lower price for the device, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious users.
While these claims have surfaced before, they now seem more credible. Even though the Pixel 9a will offer fewer features than the main series, it may still attract considerable attention.
