Google continues its efforts to increase its share in the phone industry, and it is preparing to launch the Pixel 9a model soon. In line with this, new information about the device has emerged, with some leaked case images and technical details. The latest developments reveal live images of the product.
Google Pixel 9a Spotted in Live Images
The Google Pixel 9a has been spotted in live images. With this development, there are no more questions left regarding the product. The model will come with a different design compared to its predecessors. Specifically, the rear panel will feature a pill-shaped camera setup placed in the top-left corner, replacing the horizontal bar seen in previous models.
The front will remain unchanged, with the phone maintaining an above-average screen-to-body ratio and a punch-hole display design.
According to previous leaks, the Google Pixel 9a’s 128 GB version will be priced at $499 in the US, and the 256 GB model will cost $649. This represents a $40 price increase compared to its predecessor, the Pixel 8a. In Europe, the prices are set at €549 / £499 for the 128 GB model, and €649 / £599 for the 256 GB model.
The Pixel 9a will be powered by the Google Tensor G4 processor, with 8 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage options. Its 6.2-inch OLED display will stand out with a peak brightness of 2,700 nits and HDR brightness of 1,800 nits. On the camera side, it will feature a 48 MP f/1.7 primary camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13 MP Sony IMX712 selfie camera.
The Pixel 9a will come with a 5,100 mAh battery supporting 23W wired charging and 7.5W wireless charging. For security, it will include the Titan M2 chip for data protection and secure boot operations. Additionally, it will have an IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
The device will open for pre-orders on March 19, 2025, and will be officially released on March 26, 2025. As part of the launch, it will offer three months of Google One (100GB) and YouTube Premium, along with six months of Fitbit Premium subscription.
