The tech giant, Google, will hold a major annual developer conference, Google I/O, on May 10. The company seems to announce a lot of new devices, software updates, and more at the event. While Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Tablet and the Pixel 7a, the latest official teaser shows that Google will also launch the Pixel Fold at the same event. Google Pixel Fold coming to be a competitor
In the teaser, we can see both the front and rear displays and triple rear cameras of the upcoming foldable phone. With its design, its rear will likely look like the other Pixel series. The teaser shows the inner screen with large bezels and the camera on the top bezel, also it shows the UI that is used in the new Google Pixel Fold.
According to rumors and leaks, we can assume that the Google Pixel Fold will launch with a 7.6-inch (1840 x 2208 pixels) OLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In the teaser, we also see the triple rear camera system of the phone. It is claimed that the new device will have a 48-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 10.8-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera.
Below the official teaser, Google says, “Coming soon. This device has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission or other regulators. This device may not be sold or otherwise distributed until required legal authorizations have been obtained.”
However, it is now official that Google will unveil its long-awaited foldable phone in May, but it will probably go on sale on June 27th. While there are no more details about the expected device, its price could be $1,799 in the US.
